Tampico: - Vernon Adolph Bruder, 62, Tampico, died Friday night at Community General Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in Whiteside County on April 17, 1912, son of Adolph and Ida (Holtz) Bruder. He received his education in Yorktown schools and was married to Elma Cryer on June 26, 1935 in Galesburg, Ill. He lived in the Tampico vicinity all his life and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Yorktown.

He is survived by his mother; his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Donna) Radacke of Tampico, Mrs. George (Nancy) Tornow of Tampico and Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Cady of Tampico; one son, Dennis of Tampico; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Bruder of Rock Falls, and Raymond Bruder of Tampico; four sistrs, Mrs. Henrietta Taets of Tampico, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Buyeers of Rock Falls and Mrs. Charles (Eula) Chriest and Miss Bernadine Bruder both of Tampico.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, and one brother.

Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the pastor, Joel Rustad, officiating. Burial will be in the Yorktown Cemetery.

Friends may call at Schmidt Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. The family will be present from 7-9 p.m.
