Memorial services for the late Rev. John G. Armstrong formerly pastor of the Tampico Methodist church were held in the Methodist church here last Sunday morning. A. T. Glassburn gave a talk on the life and work of the deceased and his connection with the church here. Rev. James Potter the pastor followed with a sermon on the meaning of the Christian mnistry and what a life like that of Mr. Armstrong's meant and stood for in the community and nation. There was special music consisting of a pretty solo by Mrs. F. F. Buren.
