LYNDON – Shirley M. Blumhoff, 87, of Lyndon, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa.

Shirley was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Prophetstown, the daughter of Lyell and Belva (Arnett) Fisk. She worked at General Electric Co. in Morrison for many years. Shirley married James Blumhoff on Jan. 21, 1948, in Morrison. He preceded her in death July 26, 2003. She was a member of Lyndon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Larey (Linda) Blumhoff of Morrison, Rick (Tina Wagner) Blumhoff of Lyndon, Jim (Jan) Blumhoff of Bridgeport, Ohio, and Randy (Socorro) Blumhoff of San Antonio; one sister, Donna (John) Morse of Lyndon; one brother, Don Fisk of Sterling; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Marty.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 7 and a memorial service at 1 p.m. Feb. 7 at McDonald Funeral Home in Prophetstown, with the Rev. Cheri Stewart of Prophetstown United Methodist Church officiating.
