Roger E. Groff

PERRY, Missouri – Roger Eugene Groff, of Perry, formerly of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at his home, at the age of 54. 
Roger was born Nov. 8, 1960, in Sterling, the son of Donald Groff and Mary L. Carlson. He served in the Air Force from February 1981 to February 1985. Roger married Laurie A. Butts on Feb. 3, 1989, in Sterling. He worked at Arris in Rock Falls for more than 24 years, and at Harrington Signal in Rock Island from 2008 to 2010.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie A. Groff of Perry; his son, John D. Groff of Bradenton, Florida; his daughter, Krysta A. Groff of Sterling; his in-laws, John C. and Cheryl A. Whitaker of Sterling; his siblings, Connie (Curt) Brown of Galesburg, and Bruce (Julie) Groff of Gum Spring, Virginia; his nieces, Erin (Dan) Powell, and Anna and Claire Groff; and his nephew, Ralph Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for family and friends will be at a later date at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Cremation rites have been accorded.
