MILLEDGEVILLE – Arthur L. “Art” Johnson, 61, of Milledgeville, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. He was employed by Sterling Steel for 43 years, most recently working as the electrical supervisor. 

Art was born July 6, 1953, in Sterling, the son of Alvin and Frances (Bauer) Johnson. He married Diana Gregory on Nov. 27, 1976, in Milledgeville. 

Survivors include his wife of Milledgeville; two sons, Cory (Jennifer) Johnson of Eagle, Idaho, and Eric Johnson of Decatur; his parents of Como; one sister, Nancy (Jim) Hardt of Sterling; one brother, Greg Johnson of Dixon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his aunts, uncles, and brother-in-law, Alan Gregory.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and the funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville, with the Rev. Rick Koch of Dutchtown Church of the Brethren officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
