Tyler B. DeVault,19, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hillsdale, IL. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 6th at Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Erie. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Erie Fire Department.

Tyler was born March 10, 1996 in Geneseo, IL. He grew up with his loving grandparents, Marty and Mary DeVault. Tyler graduated from Erie High School in 2014. He was an avid runner and enjoyed competing on his high school track and cross country teams. He also loved singing in the Show Choir in high school. Tyler attended the Rock River Christian Camp several times and assisted with it as well. In his spare time he liked spending time with friends snow boarding, gaming and watching movies. He was an apprentice electrician for Shaw Electric in Davenport.

Survivors include his grandparents, Marty and Mary DeVault of Erie; aunt and uncle, Amy and Jeff Koscik, Geneseo; uncle, Dale DeVault, of Erie; cousins, Chloe Koscik, Andrew Koscik, Joe DeVault; great grandparents, Jearldene Duckworth, Pekin, IL, and Elsie M.
