Lucile Anspach Cornelius, 100, formerly of Lyndon and Erie, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison.
Private graveside services will be held at the Lyndon Cemetery, Lyndon, IL. Gibson – Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services is responsible for arrangements.
Lucile was born November 6, 1914 in Amboy, IL, the daughter of Charles and Fannie Bender. She was married to Frank Anspach in 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1954. She later married John Cornelius and he also preceded her in death.
Lucile loved her stuffed animals, especially Theodore, who remains at her side. She enjoyed cooking and went through 3 microwaves. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Speer, Port Byron; son, Roger Anspach, Morrison; 10 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, brother, a son and a grandson.
