Doris Andrea Brinkman

Doris Andrea Brinkman, 90, passed away on November 21, 2015, in Sun City West, Arizona.

She was born on May 4,1925, in Clinton, IA, to Chris and Ella (Ingwerson) Nissen. She grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1943. After marrying Wilbur Brinkman in 1946 she moved to Garden Plain IL. In 2003 she moved to Albany IL.

Doris was employed at Brinkman and Pessman Lumber Company in Port Byron IL. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church where she played the organ for over 60 years.
She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.

Doris is survived by two sons and a daughter, William (Gaile) Brinkman of Albany IL; Ruthann Brinkman of Long Island NY; Kenneth (Mary Ann) Brinkman of Darien IL and grandchildren Niki (Todd) Ofenloch of Wellesley MA ; Matthew (Coe) Brinkman of Austin TX; Amy (Ted) Pinson of Chicago IL; Rachel (Brett) Flood of Clarendon Hills IL and great-grandchildren Henry, Isabel and William Ofenloch.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Ruth Mather of Kewanee IL and brothers Marvin Nissen of Clinton IA and Richard Nissen of New Bedford MA.

Funeral Information

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
