PRINCETON — Bonnie Meyer, 66, of Princeton passed away Monday, July 18, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Peoria to Albert and Frances (Leiendecker) Pearl.

She graduated from Tampico High School and attended the Illinois Valley Community College Nursing Program. She was a secretary at St. Matthews Lutheran Church for 10 years. She also worked at Perry Memorial Hospital for 18 years, the Walmart Vision Center for 18 years and Home Instead in Peru for five years.

She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and Princeton Junior Woman's Club. She delivered Mobile Meals and was a Girl Scout leader. She loved to sew and quilt, and collecting angels.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Ken) Chambers of Magnolia; one son, Steve (Tami) Meyer of Princeton; one sister, Linda (John) Kennedy of Prophetstown; one brother, Ben Pearl of Moline; three grandchildren, Hannah Meyer, Tyler (Emily) Wolf and Cody Jones; five great-grandchildren, Bentley, Easton, Carter and Keeley Wolf, and Bryant Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton. Cremation has been accorded.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton.
