ROCK FALLS – Ruth M. Finley, 93, of Rock Falls, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. 

Ruth was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Tampico, the daughter of Edward and Martha (Jacobs) Schultz. She married Alvin Bollman on July 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1971. She married Lyle Finley on July 3, 1972. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2002. She was employed by General Electric Co. for many years before retirement. 

Survivors include her two stepgranddaughters, Lisa (Jerry) Stuart of Morrison and Lori (Dan) Davis of Lyndon; one sister, Maxine Mount of Rock Falls; stepdaughter, Ruthann Johnson of Houston; five stepgrandchildren, Penny, Dawn, Gail, Hope, and Kyle; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews; and her faithful beagle, Lucky.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Wanda and Arman Francis; six brothers, Lester, Harold, Everett, Francis, Kenneth, and Donald Shultz; four sisters, Fern Isenberg, Luella Brotheridge, Donna Faye Boehm, and one in infancy; two stepsons-in-law, Bruce Eller and Art Johnson; and one stepgranddaughter, Tammy.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Happy Tails in Rock Falls.
