Betty Ann Soltow, 89 of Dubuque died Sunday, January 29, 2017,, at home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held from 3 to 8 pm Thursday. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens
Betty was born August 22, 1927, in Lyndon, Ill., daughter of Lloyd and Anna (Mundt) Harrington. On March 20, 1949, she married Robert L. Soltow in Lyndon, Ill. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2003.
 
Betty worked as a clerk at the Loras Book Store for 23 years, retiring in 1995. She was a past member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bowled for many years and was an avid Cubs fan. She loved spending time with two of her great-great-granddaughters, Ashlynn and Nora.
 
She is survived by two sons, Steven (Grace Franjola) Soltow of Connecticut and Craig (Judy) Soltow of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Kate Soltow and Christopher, Robin (Mike Donahue) and Steve (Nikki) Kennedy; three great grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
 
She was also Preceded in death by her siblings, Gene and Robert Harrington and Pauline Wallick.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque or Camp Courageous.
