MRS. MYRTLE R. YOUNG DIES, FUNERAL TUESDAY
TAMPICO - Mrs. Myrtle Rose Young, 72, died suddenly Sunday morning at the home of her son, Darrell Graham in Tampico. Death was due to a heart attack.
 
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Tampico Baptist Church. The Rev. Frank Frost, former pastor of the church assisted by the Rev. Myron Holmgren, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
 
Friends may call at the Schmitt Funeral Chapel in Tampico after 7 p.m. this evening and until noon on Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church.
 
Myrtle Rose Emmons was born in Tampico March 19, 1889, the daughter of Edwin and Irene Foy Emmons. She was married to Howard Graham on June 29, 1910. He preceded her in death in 1923.
 
She was a member of the Tampico Baptist Church, Morning Start Chapter OES. She was employed as an operator by the Tampico Farmers Telephone Company for 32 years, retiring about seven years ago. 
 
Survivors are her son, Darrell Graham, with whom she made her home; two grandsons, Charles and Rodney Graham and a number of nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by her two sons, Mervin, 1934 and Chester, 1947; her parents and four sisters.
