DEATH - FUNERALS
Services Set For Clarence L. Hamilton
TAMPICO - Funeral services for Clarence L. Hamilton, 73, who passed away suddenly Tuesday at the home of his daughter, in Knoxville, Tenn. will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Calvary Evangelical Church in Hooppole. The Rev. Lew Mills will officiate, with the burial in Hooppole Cemetery.
 
Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel after 7 p.m. Friday. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 a.m. Saturday.
 
Clarence Hamilton was born Sept. 2, 1894 in Birds Run, Ohio, the son of John and Ella Hamilton. He was educated in the Ohio schools and was married to Vera Ringel on July 17, 1912 in Cambridge. He was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Church of Hooppole. He lived in Tampico vicinity for a number of years and the past 10 years in Tennessee.
 
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ira (Marjorie) McCartney of Cisco; Mrs. Ray (Kathryn) Johnson of Moline; Mrs. Ruth VanOrmer of Sterling; Mrs. John (Doris) Stewart of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Leo (Janice) Gudgell of Tampico; one son, Henry Clark of Buena Park, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother, all in Ohio State, several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded by his parents, wife, one daughter Mabel, three grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
