MRS. STELLA HASSELMAN

TAMPICO - Services for Mrs. Stella Hasselman, 80, a former Tampico resident who died Thursday in Morrison Community Hospital, were held this morning at Allen-Schmidt-Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. Burial was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Stella Pierce was born in Bureau County. She married Carl E. Hasselman in December 1924 in Rock Falls. He died on Sept. 3, 1977. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sterling.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Downey, of Texas, Mrs. Dorothy Devine, Sterling, and Mrs. Jane Krolls, Glenview; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Murray, Trevor, Wis.; Mrs. Evelyn Steltzer, Sterling; and Mrs. Marjorie Scott, Prophetstown, and a brother, Frank Pierce.
