Leona May Rebert

May 8, 1930 - December 11, 2012

Prophetstown - Leona M. Rebert, 82, of 17079 Lomax Road, Prophetstown, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown.  She had worked for the center.  Leona was born May 8, 1930, in Sterling, the daughter of Paul and Clydia (Vittitow) Lane.  She married Gerold E. Rebert on October 15, 1948, in Prophetstown.  He preceded her in death on October 2, 2007.  She was a member of Leon United Methodist Church in Prophetstown.  Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Ron) Bruder and Corinne (Chuck) Abell, both of Rock Falls; two sons, Rodney Rebert of Prophetstown, and Roland (Dorothy) Rebert of Poulsbo, Washington; eight grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Audrey Wright of Sterling; and several aunts and cousins.  She also was preceded in death by her parents.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, 320 Lafayette St., Prophetstown. The funeral will be at 11  a.m. Saturday at Leon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rolland Hayag, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Emmert Cemetery in Nachusa.
