Mrs. John Strouss Dies in Morrison

Mrs. John E. Strouss, 86, Morrison, passed away this morning in the Morrison Community Hospital after a short illness.

She was born Feb. 12, 1880 in Paw Paw, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Ewer. On Feb. 12, 1901 she married John E. Strouss in Walnut. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.
Mr. and Mrs. Strouss resided in Tampico for 50 years. After her husband's death, Mrs. Strouss moved to Morrison where she has resided for the past 14 years.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Gene, in Amboy, one grand-daughter, and one sister, Mrs. R. N. Dunlop, Council Bluffs, Ia.

Funeral services have been set for Monday afternoon in Tampico.

Friends may visit the Schmidt Funeral home in Tampico, Sunday afternoon after 2.

Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
