FRANK J. YAKLICH - Frank J. Yaklich, age 81, of 28437 E. 3000 St., Tampico, IL, died on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002 at his residence in rural Tampico, IL..


Mr. Yaklich was born March 11, 1921 in LaSalle, IL, the son of Frank and Mary (Podbergar) Yaklich.  He was united in marriage to Bernadine Moore on May 31, 1944 at St. Roche's Catholic Church in LaSalle, IL.  He farmed in the state of Washington for 20 years and then in the Tampico area the rest of his lifetime.  He served in the United States Navy during WW II.  He was amemer of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico and the Hooppole American Legion Post.  He enjoyed his family, fishing, farming and travel.  He especially enjoyed the accomplishments of his children and granchildren.  He served many Ag committees throughout his farming career.


He is survived by his wife: Bernadine of Tampico, IL, three daughters, Mary (Rod) Ollas of Seattle, Washington, Patricia (Earl) of Lincoln, IL, Donna (Dough) Matlock of Bloomington, IL, four sons: Frank (Kathy) Yaklich of Rock Falls, IL, Robert (Kim) Yaklich of Prophetstown, IL, David (Judy) Yaklich of Rock Falls, IL, Mike (Melodee) Yaklich of Kewanee, IL, 24 grandchildren, eigh great grandchildren, two brothers, Josph (Loretta) Yaklich of LaSalle, IL, Edward (Vivian) Yaklich of LaSalle, IL, four sisters, Frances Flohr of LaSalle, IL, Annie Sekula of LaSalle, IL, Chrintine Olszewski of Rockford, IL, Pauline Denby of Rock Island, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary.


Funeral prayer services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, followed by mass of christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico with the Rev. Anthony Pantyra, pastor officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Eshelman Rally Doyl American Legion Post #1191.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from  6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.  A memorial has been estalished in his memory to St Mary's Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society in lieu of flowers.
