DAVID FRANCIS SWEET

David Francis SWEET, an old, respected resident of Tampico, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. ROWE, Wednesday evening, Jan. 16, 1901, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. SWEET was born at Dorset, Bennington county, Vermont, Oct. 8th, 1812, and was married to Emer [sic] Jane GRANGER Dec. 28, 1836, at Weedsport, New York. Six children, two boys and four girls blessed this union, of which Elmina J. ROWE is the only survivor. His wife died Feb. 29th, 1884, since which time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Wm. ROWE. His age was 58 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

The funeral occurred Friday at the Baptist church, Rev. A. E. Wimmer officiateing, and the remains were laid to rest in the Tampico cemetery.
