TAMPICO TORNADO September 29, 1894

MOREHEAD

The deceased, Samuel MOREHEAD, was born in Westmoreland Co,. Pa., Jan. 20th, 1813, and lived many years in Verange Co., Pa. Died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edward CLEAVELAND, in Hume, Sept. 24th, 1894; aged 81 years, 8 months, 4 days. In 1888 he was united in matrimony to Mary A. HOLLIS, to whom ten children were born, eight of whom are now left to mourn his death. His wife passed away twenty years before ***** **** *****dren the remaining one ***** his death. In 1855 he came to Illinois where he resided the rest of his life.

The funeral services were held at the home of Edward CLEAVELAND, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. E. MILLARD, of Tampico, officiating. A large gathering of friends and neighbors assembled to pay their last respects to the departed. The remains were interred, by the side of the wife of the deceased, in the cemetery at South Hume.
