Peter JOHNSON

(April 13, 1985)

Peter C. JOHNSON, 38,  24940 Front St., Como, died Saturday evening at Community General Hospital after an extended illniess.

Funeral services weill be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesay at the Harvest Time Bible Church with Rev. Dalmust MEEKS pastor, ovvidiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial
Cemetery, Tampico. Military Rites will be accorded at the grave by the Tampico American Legion Post 574. Friends may call at the Allen Funeral Home, Sterling, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday.

A memorial has been established for an ear oxometer for blood gasses for the special care until of Community General Hospital.

Peter JOHNSON was born on Aug. 18, 1946 in Princeton, th eson of V. Frances and Gertrude BRAASCH JOHNSON. He attended Thomas Grade School and graduated from Manlius High School with the class of 1964. He attended Sauk Valley College and served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam as a supply clerk and was a member of the Illinois National Guard until his discharge on Aug. 5, 1983. He had been employed at Parish-Alford at the time of his death. On Aug. 12, 1978 he married Tina Loy in Sterling. He was a member of the Midwest Bow Hunters Club, Illinois Archery Association, Yorktown Church of Christ the Tampico American Legion Post 574 and attended the Harvest Time Bible Church.

Surviving are his wife, Tina, two sons, Jeffrey JOHNSON and Chad JOHNSON, both of Sterling; his father, V. Francis JOHNSON, Thomas; two step-daughters, Crystals BIRCH, San Antonia, Texas and Sherry BIRCH, at home, one sister, Dorene KNIPPLE, Fairfield.

Preceding him in death was his mother.
