Death of Mrs. Kate A. FORD a well known citizen of Hahnaman township and for many years a resident of Deer Grove and vicinty, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John WELCH. east of here last week Thursday morning about 1 o'clock, death being due to heart trouble from which she had been a sufferer for the past year. Funeral services were held last week Saturday at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's church here conducted by Rev. Father L. X. DuFOUR and interment was in St. Mary's cemetery here. The funeral was very largely attended being one of the largest ever held at St. Mary's.

The deceased was born 63 years ago in Ireland and came to this country with her folks when three or four years of age. She was married 44 years ago Feb. 5 to John FORD and after residing in Hahnaman township for twenty-four years moved to Deer Grove and later to the home of her daughter. She is survived by three children: Mrs. John WELCH and Mrs. John McGUIRE and Harry FORD. The deceased was a good woman and held in high esteem  in her old neighborhood and in the community which for so many years had been her home.
