SANFORD, Fla. - Funeral services for Raymond Shaheen, 88, of Sanford, Fla., who passed away Saturday, Dec., 2, 2006, were at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, Sanford, Fla. Gathering for family and friends was at 4:30 p.m. until service time.

Born Feb. 8, 1918, in Deer Grove, Ray had been a resident of the North Shore area of Chicago for most of his life. He was an attorney and the senior partner in a Chicago law firm. Ray was a U.S. Navy pilot and veteran of World War II. He was loved by his family and friends for his warm personality, honesty, integrity and generosity.

He is survived by his son, Jeff and his wife, Gwen and their daughters, Caitlyn and Danielle; and by his other son, Bob and his wife, Emily and their children, Samuel and Molly. He is further survived by his sister, Mrs. Ruth Downs and her husband, Hugh.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (1995); and his brothers, John and Richard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, (800) 227-2345.
