LeRoy Morse

PROPHETSTOWN - LeRoy C. Morse, 72, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at his home. He was a carpenter for many years.


Mr. Morse was born March 1, 1934, in Portland Township, the son of Clifford and Nora (Wilkens) Morse. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Linda (Parrott) Eggimann on Aug. 19, 1978, in Prophetstown.


Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Jeff Phillips of Sacramento, Calif., Leslie Phillips of Los Angeles, James Eggimann of Prophetstown and Jerry Eggimann of Naperville; two sisters, Norrine Lindermann of Billings, Mont., and Idonna Kustudia of Las Vegas; a brother, Darrel (Laura Lee) Morse of Prophetstown; and two granddaughters.


The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown. Burial is at Elm Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Happy Tails Animal Shelter, Sterling.
