Lois M. Hansen, age 86, of rural Tampico, Illinois, died Saturday December 24, 2006 at Colonial Hall Nursing Center in Princeton, Illinois.

Mrs. Hansen was born on June 27, 1920 in Walnut, Illinois, the daughter of Wilbur and Cora (Mead) Peach. She was united in marriage to James G. Hansen on November 16, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1978. She was an Avon representative in the 1970’s. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manlius, a member of the church circle and she was co-chairman of the workshop at the church. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.

She is survived by two daughters Marjorie Hansen of Tampico, Illinois; Judy (Al) Taylor of Princeton, Illinois; two grandsons, Austin Taylor of Woodstock, Illinois and Jud Taylor of Princeton, Illinois; one brother Lyle Peach of Princeton, Illinois and one sister Ila Allen of Princeton, Illinois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her parents, husband, one sister Velva Akridge, three brothers Wayne, Peach, Delmar Peach, and Willard Peach.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday December 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of First Christian Church of Walnut officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the Garland Funeral Home. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISED IN HER MEMORY TO TAMPICO AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION AND BUREAU VALLEY HOSPICE.
