Harry J Hummel Succumbs Monday

Funeral arrangements are complete at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home for Harry J Hummel, 81, 1314 12th Ave., Rock Falls, who died Monday evening.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Lowell D. Allen, pastor of the Rock Falls Methodist Church, officiating, with burial in Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home.

Harry Hummel was born May 27, 1891 in Savanna, the son of Jeremiah G. and Mary A Keller Hummel. He was united in marriage to Arlene Crampton, March 15, 1915, who preceded him in death, July 26, 1938. He married Florence Herbon Jan. 19, 1949, who also preceded him in death in 1958. He had attended the Rock Falls Methodist Church. He was retired from Lawrence Bros., Inc.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert S. (Mary Jane) Munda, Freeport, and Mrs. Lester C. (Dorothy) Wilser of Rock Falls, with whom he made him home; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives and one sister.
