OBITUARY

Thomas DALE was born at Plukley, East Kent, England, Oct. 11th, 1825. He came to the United States March 26th, 1839, and resided in Onedia Co., N.Y., for a year and a half. He came to Joliet, Ill., in 1851; spent some time in the Southern States. In 1872 he came to Princeton, Bureau Co., Ill. Seven years he lived in Whiteside county the remainder of these years he lived in Bureau county, Ill.

October 25th, 1855, he was united in marriage with Eliza SPARGO. To them eleven children were born, five sons and six daughters, all of whom with his wife and nineteen grand children survive the departed, who passed away June 5th, 1899, aged 76 years, 7 months and 25 days. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J.J. HALES of LaMoille, Ill., using for the text the 13th chapter of 2nd Samuel 14th vers.

A large procession followed the remains to the cemetery.
