Marjorie M. Wetzell, age 77, of 2620 Star Rd, Tampico, Illinois died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Marge was born on February 17, 1929 in Rock Falls, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Iva (Johnson) Brown. She was united in marriage to Arthur L. Wetzell on July 26, 1947 in the Tampico United Methodist Church in Tampico, Illinois. She was a homemaker. She also was a member of the Tampico United Methodist Church, the church circle and Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her husband Arthur of Tampico, Illinois; four sons, Douglas Wetzell of Deer Grove, Illinois; Paul (Nancy) Wetzell of Rock Falls, Illinois, Randy (Anna) Wetzell of Tampico, Illinois, Larry Wetzell of Tampico, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; one sister Ruth Mickley of Prophetstown, Illinois; one brother John (Eleanor) Brown of Rock Island, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Eric, two sisters, Dorothy and Mary.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Tampico United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Tampico United Methodist Church. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO THE TAMPICO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, THE TAMPICO FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.
