Funeral services for John H. JOHNSON, 78, of Sheffield will be held this afternoon in JOHNSON Funeral home, Sheffield, with the Rev. O. E. LINK officiating.  Burial will be in the Sheffield Cemetery.

 

Mr. JOHNSON died Monday night in his home in Sheffield. He was born August 17, 1873, in Fairfield Township and was son of Olaf and Johanna JOHNSON. He married Josephine LINDAHL of Mineral, on February 8, 1899.

 

He was a charter member of Bureau County Farm Bureau.

 

Surviving are his wife, five children: Harvey, Denver; Leonard, Sheffield; John, Hillsdale; Mrs. Mabel MYERS, Moline; and Miss Hazel JOHNSON, Oak Park; six grandchildren and a brother, Peter C. JOHNSON, Thomas (IL). He was preceded in death by a sister, son and a daughter.
