WALNUT - Shirley A. Brokaw, age 60, of 170 Baseline Road, Walnut, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at CGH Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 28, 1946, in Sterling, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte J. (Chronister) Conley. She was employed by Walnut Manor Nursing Home the past four years as a dietary cook. She was a member of Happy Hookers Club. She enjoyed fishing and her puppy, Maggie.

She is survived by two daughters, Laurie (Don) Simester of Rock Falls and Lisa (Gary) Phillips of Tampico; seven grandchildren, Whitney, Allison, Melanie, Stephanie, Kellie, Jamie and Nicholas; one sister, Sherri (Harvey) Zemke of Walnut; special friend, Bugsy Carlson of Walnut; one niece; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Alfred Jensen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, with the Rev. Brian Vickers, pastor of Rock River Christian Center, Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
