HANNAH COHENOUR

Hannah Cohenour Dies in Wisconsin At Midnight Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Cohenour, who passed away at Glen Flora, Wis., at midnight Sunday, will be held from the Church of the Brethren at 2:30 Friday, Rev. Perry Hoover conducting the rites.  The body arrived in Sterling by train Wednesday night and was taken to the Wheelock funeral home.

Mrs. Cohenour, 92, fell at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Smith, route one, Rock Falls, last September and was bedfast for six weeks.  Last month she made the trip to Wisconsin in an automobile and sat up the entire distance.

Mrs. Cohenour was born April 1, 1854, and would have been 92 years old had she lived three months longer. She came to Illinois at the age of two, her parents first settling in Mount Carroll, where she and her late husband, David, lived until 1878 when they moved to Como.  Mr. Cohenour preceded her in death.  For the last 40 years she had made her home in Rock Falls.
