EMILY BROWN

Mrs. Emily Brown Dies This Morning at Sheriff's Home

Morrison Ill-Nov 22 (Special) -- Mrs. Emily A. Brown, passed away this morning at 7:45 o'clock at the home of Sheriff and Mrs. J. W. Kelly, the latter being her daughter.  Her illness was of two weeks duration, although she had not been strong for a number of years.

Mrs. Brown was 71 years of age on April 8.  She had spent practically all her life in Bureau and Whiteside counties, and for many years had been a highly esteemed resident of Tampico, where she still retained a residence.  When Sheriff and Mrs. Kelly moved here, Mrs. Brown accompanied them and for the past year has spent most of her time in Morrison.  Mrs. Brown was a woman of admirable character and her loss will be greatly mourned.

The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of Sheriff and Mrs. Kelly.  The remains will be taken to Tampico for interment.
