Margaret M. Duuck

 

            Margaret Matilda Lenhart Duuck, 88, formerly of Lyndon, IL., went home on March 29, 2005.  Private graveside services will be held on Friday in the Lyndon Township Cemetery with Wesley Dickson, Pastor of the Lyndon United Methodist Church, officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the Lyndon United Methodist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Gibson & Soon Funeral Home, Prophetstown.

            Margaret was born March 10, 1917 in Lyndon, IL, the middle daughter of Forrest and Suzanne May (Brown) Lenhart.  She married Henry Leon Duuck in Clinton, IA on May 16, 1938.  He preceded her on June 21, 1974.

            She retired from General Electric Co., Morrison in 1988.

            Margaret was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church where she served as organist for many years.  She also played the piano.  She was an avid fisherwoman and lover her garden.

            Her family all pay homeage to this wonderful woman whom played an important role in their lives by being a great listener, advisor, and openhearted person.

            Those surviving are a sister-in-law, Izabelle Queen and many nieces and nephews and their families.

            Margaret was preceded by a daughter, Jacqwyne Lea Duuck, a son Jackie Lee Duuck, siters, Lillian McDonald, Dorothy Shuman, and brothers, George, Kenneth, Chauncy, and Marion.
