Kenneth L. Francis

 

            Kenneth L. Francis, 80, of Prophetstown died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at his home.  Private graveside services will be held later this week at the Lyndon Township Cemetery, Lyndon.  Visitation was held Wednesday at the Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown.  A memorial fund has been established.

            Kenneth was born September 6, 1925 in Lyndon the son of Harry A. and Valllie May (Hahn) Francis.  He married Dolores Eacker on February 24, 1957 in Mt. Carroll, IL. 

            He farmed for many years and also worked for Smith Farm Supply.  Ken was an Army veteran having been stationed in Korea and Japan.

            He was a quite, wonderful man who loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He enjoyed flying his plane, watching sports, and inventing.

            Survivors include his wife; a daughter Crystal Slaunwhite, Sterling; sons, Kurt of Mesa, AZ, Kerry and his wife Teri, Missoula, Montana, five grandchildren; a brother and his wife Glen and Pat Francis, Lyndon.
