George Fisher Dies, Funeral Rites Saturday
 
Walnut: - George Fisher, 48, passed away at 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Madison General Hospital, Madison, Wis., where he had been serious ill for six weeks.
 
The body was removed to the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut, where friends may call Friday evening.
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. (CST) at the funeral home, the Rev. Hollis Wharton, pastor of the Walnut Methodist Church officiating.
 
He was born June 17, 1907 in Walnut, the son of W. J. and Elizabeth Schoff Fisher.  He spent his entire life in Walnut.  He was employed at the Home Equipment Co., in Walnut, where he operated his own repair service.
 
Survivors include a brother, Clarence of Pasadena, Calif.;  five sisters, Mrs. Frank Ross, Sterling,  Mrs. Charles Major, Mrs. Ira Merchant, Mrs. Eugene Waterhouse, Walnut, and Mrs. Milton Stanley, Bloomington.
 
He was preceded in death by infant son Jimmy, his parents, and one brother.
