BERTHA (Berg) HILGER
 
Mrs. Bertha Hilger Dies, Funeral Rites Tuesday
 
Prophetstown: - Mrs. Bertha Hilger, 94, passed away Saturday afternnon at the Riverview Nursing Home in Rock Falls.  The body was removed to the Gardner Funeral Home where friends may call at the chapel.
 
Funeral services will be held at  the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown at 2 p.m. (CST), the Rev. Calkwarf officiating.  Burial will be in the Yorktown Cemetery.
 
She was born March 8, 1891 in Yorktown township, the daughter of Henry and Anna Fanning Berg.  She was educated in the Yorktown schools. She was married to George Hilger, Prophetstown, on Jan. 26, 1914 at Yorktown. They made their home in Prophetstown.
 
She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Yorktown.
 
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Otto Teske, Rock Falls; a niece Mrs. Richard Farndale, whom she raised, other nieces and nephews.
 
Her husband preceded her in death as did her parents, one brother, Alfred Berg; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Johnson and Mrs. Effie Yonk.
