LEROY SCHNEIDER
 
LeRoy Schneider, 61, a former resident of Sterling, died at noon Wednesday in a Chicago hospital following an illness of a number of years.  He resided at 2458 Indiana Ave., Chicago.
 
The body was brought to the Trouth Funeral Home where friends may call at any time.  Last rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Harry E. Shiffer, pastor of the Rock Falls Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Tampico Cemetery.
 
He was born Jan. 12, 1894 in Ivesdale, Ill., the son of Jacob and Matilda Schneider.  He was married to Jessie Wharfield and they resided in Sterling for some years before moving to Peoria, later moving to Chicago to make their home.
 
Surviving him are three daughters, Delores, Geraldine, and Gloria, four brothers, Benjamin and Luther, Rock Falls;  George, Sterling, and Louis, Oregon, Ill.
 
He was preceded in death by his prents, one son, LeRoy Jr., three brothers and three sisters.
