Niels Fred Hansen, 80, Prophetstown Resident Dies, Rites Wednesday
 
Prophetstown: - Neils Fred Hansen, 80, died early Monday morning at the Milledgeville Nursing Home where he had been a patient for the past 14 months.
 
The body was brought to the Gardner Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Julius Peterson, pastor of the First Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Lyndon cemetery.
 
Mr. Hansen was born July 15, 1878 in Fairfield township, the son of Orla F. and Mary Nielson Hanson.  He was educated in the Fairfield township rural school.  He was a resident of the Prophetstown community for most of his lifetime.  He was married to Christine Anderson, she died shortly after their marriage.  He was married to Jennie Sanders of Stewart, Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa in 1904.  She also preceded him in death.
 
He was of the Lutheran faith.
 
Survivors are one brother, Peter D. Hansen, Princeton;  two sisters, Mrs. Emery Avery, Tampico, and Mrs. Harry Frew, Lyndon.
 
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
