ANNA S. (Rasmussen)  FRITSCH
Anna K. Fritsch, 78, resident of Tampico, passed away Thursday at the Linton Nursing Home in Sterling.
 
She was born in the Tampico area on Nov. 17, 1881, the daughter of Thomas and Abilone Rasmussen.  She was educated in the Tampico schools and in February, 1900, she was married to Elmer E. Fritsch of Prophetstown in her parents' home.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Harold; one grandson, Carl Gumfory;  one great-grandson, Donald Gudgell; her parents, two sisters and one brother.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Hayden of Walnut, and a son, Cecil Fritsch of Tampico; two brothers, Carl and Nels Rasmussen; two sisters, Mrs. Stacy Anderson and Mrs. Marie McCombs; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Parent Chapel with the Rev. Henry Holverson, pastor of the Tampico Methodist Church officiating, with burial in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
 
Recordings of the Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden were played.
 
Pallbearers were Robert Nuelle, Kermit Branson, Grover Rosene, Barney Sollars, Harry Chapin, Clayton Smith.
 
Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Robert Nuelle and Mrs. Richard Nuelle.
