MORRISON - Eileen Woellert, 92, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, formerly of Tampico, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at the nursing home.

Eileen was born Sept. 2, 1915, in Greenville Township, Bureau County, to John and Caroline Bohm, their only daughter. She was educated in the Walnut schools. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1934 and from Teachers College, DeKalb, in 1936. She began her teaching career in rural schools of Lee and Whiteside County. She taught for several years in Hahnaman Deer Grove School and when first and second grades were transferred to Tampico Grade School, she taught there until she retired in 1975.

She married Carl Woellert on July 4, 1945, at Sterling Second Avenue Church. They made their home on a farm north of Tampico. Carl passed away on Aug. 1, 1986. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Prophetstown.

She was survived by one niece, Beverly (Warren) Long, of Prophetstown; one nephew, Jeffrey (Melissa ) Bohm, of Rock Falls; one great-niece, Amy Long, of Las Vegas; and several great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three bothers, Denis Bohm, of Sterling, John Bohm, of Rock Falls, and Neil Bohm in the Korean War.

Eileen enjoyed reading and was a faithful patron of Odell Library, Morrison. She liked to play bingo at the home and going out to eat at various places. She liked ice cream, reading and watching the birds. She will be missed by family and friends.

Funeral services were private, family only, no visitation was held. It is requested no flowers.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Section of the Odell Library, Morrison. Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Ottawa Cemetery, Ottawa.
