MADGE POULTER

Miss Madge Poulter, Former Prophetstown Resident, Passes Away
 
Prophetstown:  - Miss Madge Poulter, 54, died Friday morning in a hospital at Iowa City, where she had been confined for about two weeks. The body was brought to the Helm and Helm mortuary here and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Helm funeral home with the Rev. C. F. Chasteen, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery here.
 
Pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased, Ben, John, Gene and Clyde Poulter, George Watson and William Boyd.
 
She was born in Prophetstown, July 30, 1898, and lived here until about 10 years ago, when she went to Hudson, Ia., to live with her brother, Harry Poulter, and family.  Her parents were John and Fannie Johnson Poulter.
 
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lyle of Rock Falls and Mrs. Jennie Peterson of Normandy, and three borthers, George Poulter of San Diego, Calif., Harry Poulter of Hudson, Ia., and Ralph Poulter of Prophetstown.  Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
