Mrs. Vincent May Of Prophetstown Dies
 
Mrs. Vincent (Daisy) May, Route 3, Prophetstown, died Thursday afternoon in Community General Hospital after an extended illness.
 
The body was moved to the Melvin Funeral home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Melvin Funeral Home.  Richard Sprague, pastor of the Church of Christ in Prophetstown, will officiate and burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park.
 
Mrs. May was born Aug. 16, 1902, in Polo, the daughter of James and Anna Welker Dwyer. She graduated from Polo Community High School and the Nurses Training School of KSB Hospital at Dixon, finishing her course in 1925.  She was united in marriage to Vincent May on June 10, 1927, in Polo, and had resided in the Prophetstown area for the past 18 years.  Mrs. May was a member of the Church of Christ at Prophetstown.
 
Surviving besides her husband are three sisters, Mrs. Ida Rebuck and Mrs. Sam (Mamie) Wells, Sr., of Dixon and Mrs. Elmer (Sadie) Welker of Sterling, and one brothers, James Dwyer of Sterling. There are a number of nieces and nephews. Her parents and four sisters preceded.
