WILLIAM CLARK LANE
Prophetstown: - Funeral services for William Clark Lane, age 94, who passed away Thursday, June 25, were held at the Leon United Methodist Church Sunday, June 28.
The Rev. Preston Wood officiated for the services which were held at two o'clock in the afternoon. Jim Duling was the soloist and Mrs. R. Swanson, the organist.
Serving as pallbearers were Neil Clementz, Fred Lofgren, Lester Lindahl, Donald Bollivar, George Matthews, Raymond Spath. Burial was in the Leon Cemetery.
In charge of the lovely floral tributes were Mr. and Mrs. Neil Clementz, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Janssen and the Hill Crest Greenhouse. A memorial has been established also in his name for the Leon United Methodist Church.
