Mrs. Bessie Rigler Dies, Rites Tuesday
Mrs. Bessie May Rigler, 88, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday at her home, 2711 16th Ave., Sterling.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the West Sterling Mennonite Church with Pastor Harley Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown.
Mrs. Rigler, daughter of Irwin and Martha Hurstwaite Wilkinson, was born March 6, 1882 in Hume Township near Prophetstown. She married George Peter Rigler Feb. 26, 1903. He preceded her in death in 1954. She was also preceded by a brother Ralph. Mrs. Rigler is survived by her son, George W. Rigler, of Sterling.
Mrs. Rigler was a member of the West Sterling Mennonite Church for the past 13 years.
Visitation will be Monday 6 to 9 p.m. at Behrens Mortuary. A memorial has been established for Bibles for distribution by the Gideons International.
