Robert Renwick Dies Sunday
 
Walnut: - Robert Hart Renwick, 90, of Walnut, died Sunday at Walnut Manor Nursing home where he had been a patient since Friday. 
 
Military funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut.  Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
 
A memorial has been established to the Consolidated Grade School and the Walnut Rescue Unit.
 
He was born Feb. 16, 1888 in Lacon, Ill., and was a WW I veteran, serving in France with the 68th Coast Artillery. He married Verna Kerchner in Hennepin, Ill., on July 19, 1919.  He was employed for 40 years with the Bureau County Telephone Co., Illinois Allied Telephone Co., and the General Telephone Co., before retiring in 1954.  He was preceded in death by his wife in 1965.  He married Sadie Sapp Sergeant on May 23, 1975.
 
Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Monroe of Collinsville, Ill., and Mrs. Walter (Beverly) Ohda of Walnut;  two sons, Robert Renwick of Ottawa and Marvin Renwick of Morrison; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
