Tampico: - Harry R. Sandrock, 73, of Route 1, Tampico died Tuesday morning in his home.
 
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Yorktown Lutheran Church, with Rev. Joyce Heintz, officiating. Burial will follow in the Yorktown Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, with the family present from 7-9 p.m. only.  A memorial has been established to the Yorktown Lutheran Church.
 
Mr. Sandrock was born on Jan. 10, 1914 in Fairfield Township, the son of George and Olga Berge Sandrock. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Nelson on Oct. 18, 1937 in the Immanual Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. The deceased farmed in the Yorktown area and was a self-employed truck driver. He was also a member of the Yorktown Lutheran Church, the president of the Yorktown Cemetery Associaton and had served on the Center School Board and Yorktown Lutheran Church Council for many years.
 
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Larry, Lee and Loren, all of Tampico; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by one sister.
