Marshall C. Brooks, 83, of Morrison died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison. He was the manager at Wheel Inn Ranch Mobile Home Park i Scottsdale, AZ until his retirement in1991.

Mr. Brooks was born July 8, 1924 in Prophetstown, IL to Russell C. and Blanche (Beebe) Brooks. He married Donna Barksoll on July 17, 1948 in Peoria. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and served in the South Pacific. Mr. Brooks was a member of the Hooppole American Legion and theroyal Neighbors of America. He was an avid fisherman and loved th outdoors, especially camping.  Prior to his retirement, he managed several mobile home parks and was a foreman at Rock River Lumber and Grain, a carpenter and a carpet layer.

Survivors include his wife Donna of Morrison; a daughter Marsha (Steve) Geerts of Morrison; a brother, Gary (Linda) Brooks of Walnut; grandchildren, Tim (Bobbi) Geerts of Sabula, Iowa and Monica (Andrew) Swanstrom of Morrison, great grandchildren Leah Geerts and Taylor Swanstrom. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Duane.

An informal gathering of family and friends was held Sunday at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Morrison. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Leon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Falls.

MORRISON -- Marshall C. Brooks, 83, of Morrison, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison.

Burial of cremains is at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Leon Cemetery, Lomax Road, Prophetstown, with full military honors.

Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Falls.
