KENNETH L. WOOLUMS


Prophetstown: - Kenneth L. Woolums, 73, of 18630 Hurd Rd., died Wednesday at home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Garland Funeral Chapel in Prophetstown. Burial in Leon Cemetery in rural Prophetstown. Visitation is 6-8 Friday in the funeral home.A memorial has been established.


Mr. Woolums was born May 2, 1916 in Prophetstown, the son of Roy and Grace Lane Woodworth. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Prophetstown High School in 1933 and had farmed in the Leon community for the past 45 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 522, of Prophetstown.


Surviving is one brother, Clark, of Prophetstown, and nine nieces and nephews.
