EUGENE V. ROSENE


Sterling: Eugene V. Rosene, 71, of 703 2nd Ave., Apt. A., died Sunday at his home. Funeral services Wednesday at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home, Rock Falls with burial in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.


A memorial has been established.


He was born Aug. 15, 1918 in Tampico, the son of Harry H. and Fanny Karn Rosene. He was employed by Frantz Manufacturing Co., a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sterling, was in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in New Guinea and the South Pacific, and a member of the Sterling American Legion Post 296, and AARP.


Survived by one son, Ray T., Hall, California, three daughters, Mrs. James P. (Joyce) Frank, Rock Falls, Jean M., Las Vegas and Lora Parker, Henderson, Nevada; four grandchildren; one greatgrandchild, one brother, Clifford of Tampico, three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Berenice) Dersham of Walnut, Mrs. Lester (Thelma) Eiler, Rock Falls and Mrs. Eugene (Beulah) Brinkman, Sterling.
