MISS PATRICIA JOHNSON WED TO HOWARD BATTEN

Miss Patricia JOHNSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester JOHNSON of Sheffield, and Howard BATTEN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver BATTEN of Tampico, were united in marriage Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Sterling. The Rev. James McKELVEY officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville HATTEN attended the couple. Mrs. HATTEN is a cousin of the bride.

The bride wore a navy blue suit with black and white velvet accessories. She wore a rhinestone necklace and earrings, a gift of the bridegroom. For something old she carried a white lace handerchief, which the bridegroom's mother had carried on her wedding day. She wore a corsage of re roses and white carnations.

The bride's attendant wore a maroon suit with black velvet accessories and rhinestone necklace and earrings, a gift of the bride. She wore a corsage of white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.

Mrs. BATTEN was educated in Thomas Grade School and graduated with the class of 1953 from the Manlius High School. She is employed at the Yorktown Motor Inn.

Mr. BATTEN graduated with the class of 1953 from the Tampico High School  and is employed in trucking for Don SHAFFER and Henry ROTH.

Mr. and Mrs. BATTEN will make their home in the Elmendor apartment, which they have furnished.

They will take a short wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells.
