Date: November 9, 1963

Miss Sharon ICENOGLE and Robert JOHNSON were united in marriage Saturday evening in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Falls. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford ICENOGLE, Rock Falls, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Lester JOHNSON, Sheffield, and the late Lester JOHNSON.

Rev. E. A. HENRICHS read the double ring ceremony before the alter decorated with arrangements of blue carnations and white chrysanthemums. Mrs. Wayne LARSON was the organist.

The attendants were Miss Karen WALDREN, Rock Falls, as maid of honor and Sam JOHNSON, brother of the bridegroom as best man.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a street length gown of white pearl satin, styled with a fitted bodice, modified scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves. The controlled skirt featured a loose front panel with a self-bow at the waistline. Her double crown of pearls held a shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations trimmed with ivy and white saltine ribbon centered by white carnation corsage.

Miss WALDREN wore an aqua organza gown fashioned with a fitted bodice and controlled skirt. She wore a matching hat with a circular veil and carried blue carnations and white pompons.

The brides’ mother chose a rose wool dress with black accessories. The mother of the bridegroom wore a light blue silk dress with black accessories. Both had white carnation corsages tied with blue ribbon.

The men in the wedding party had white carnation boutonnieres.

The bride is a graduate of Rock Falls high school and the bridegroom of Manlius high school, both in 1961. He is employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co.

After a honeymoon trip the new Mr. and Mrs. JOHNSON will live at 811 10th Ave., Rock Falls, where they have furnished a home.

 Out of town wedding guests were from Rock Island, Sterling, Sheffield and Tampico.
